The Honey Tasting Experience
A honey tasting with friends helped bring Zed’s Honey to life. Some thought they knew what honey tasted like, and a few said they did not like it at all. Then we opened jars from different places and flowers. The flavors surprised them, and their reactions surprised us.
The honey we want to share gets its flavor from the nectar bees collect. We are talking about honey with no flavors or syrups added by people. Different flowers give honey different tastes. Even two wildflower honeys can taste different because the bees visited different plants.
Some flavors are especially surprising. Meadowfoam honey, for example, can have a flavor that reminds people of marshmallows. Nothing needs to be added to create that taste. Beekeepers can place hives near a plentiful source of one type of flower, allowing its nectar to shape the honey, though bees may visit other flowers too.

That discovery is what we want to share. Picture the end of a dinner with friends or family. You bring out a collection of little honey jars, everyone tastes a few, and the conversation begins: Which one is your favorite? What does it remind you of? Where did it come from?
Our Genesis Collection gives you a place to start, with four small jars. Different versions may feature different honeys, so each box can introduce you to something new.
Our Z Experience, coming soon, will include five honeys and a guide to help you host your own tasting with friends and family. Over time, you can build a collection of flavors to bring out whenever people gather.
We hope your first box starts a collection, a conversation, and a reason to keep exploring.
